beers, lagers & cider A pub in Kent wouldn't be a pub without a good selection of cask ales. So, we are delighted to offer a range of ales from The Tonbridge Brewery - literally just down the road from us. Guest ales some of which we feature below, which reflect the season are sourced and rotated to give a regular selection. In addition you can also enjoy a range of lagers with your meal.


  Auburn Myth! from The Tonbridge Brewery
A traditional style bitter with a mild maltiness, great as a session beer or an accompaniment to good pub grub with a distinctive taste and aroma and a hint of blackcurrants from Kent grown Bramling Cross hops, and a little extra bite from Kent grown Northdown hops.
Aroma . A classic session bitter - ABV 3.8%
Coppernob from The Tonbridge Brewery
A new beer being developed for Spring 2011.

Blonde Amibition from The Tonbridge Brewery
A crisp, clean tasting blonde beer with refreshing bitterness to quench a thirst any time of year. Fully flavoured with a combination of spicy and citrus notes from generous amounts of Kent grown Challenger and First Gold hops. ABV 4.2%

  Blue Moon from The Blue Moon Brewing Company
They have been brewing cloudy beer in Belgium for nore than 300 years now. This unflitered style of ale combines malt, wheat and oats giving the belgium White it's signature cloudy appearance and smooth full bodied taste. Light, spicy citurs flavours which go great with chicken, seafood or Pork.
  Grolsch Blond from Grolsch
Grolsch Blond is brewed with the same ingredients as grolsch Lager, using 100% malted Barley and a unique Blend of both taste and aroma hops. Remaining faithful to the characteristics balance of flavour and taste you'd expect from Grolsch. It is brewed to a lighter tasting 4%. It deleivers a sweetness to the palate and a mild hoppy taste. 'The Golden Brew' is clear, crisp and sparkling, giving the beer its thirst quenching appeal.

Carling C2, the great tasting mid strength lager from Carling, brewed to 2% ABV; for when you want a proper ice cold pint with mates, but want less alcohol.

 

   
  Aspall Cyder

Draught Suffolk Cyder from Aspall
Launched in 2003 to celebrate our 275th year of cyder making, Aspall Draught Suffolk Cyder is served on tap and in bottle. Draught has a mid straw colour with a floral/appley aroma especially of Russetts. It has a lovely mouth filling mousse and a delicate flavour of fresh pressed apples. It is an off dry cyder with a complexity that enhances its long finish.

Draught is attracting a growing audience in pubs across the country and was recently described when scooping the 2006 Quality Drinks Award as ‘almost like drinking a Sauvignon Blanc’. Ideal as an aperitif. Slightly sweeter savoury dishes, such as pork and apple sauce, or sweet and sour are beautifully complimented by Draught.  ABV 5.5%
